SIZE

M. Rufescens reach a maximum size of 65mm. The majority of individuals are around 20-30mm. There is no separation between different age classes in colonies, all sizes and ages of sexually mature individuals are found in the same area. During early development, the larvae live inthe plankton and are microscopic.
